Godzilla Vs The Thing
A hurricane washes a giant egg ashore, and it is bought from the fishermen who brought it ashore. It is put in an incubator to be hatched. A couple of miles from where a piece of the egg is found starts to move. Suddenly Godzilla erupts from the ground. He proceeds to the nearest city and attacks it. It is revealed that the egg belongs to a giant moth that resides on nuclear test site, 'Infant Island'. After some persuading, Mothra agrees to help Japan against Godzilla. Godzilla nears the egg, ready to have himself a giant sized omelet, when Mothra arrives ready to battle. After a brief scuffle, Mothra becomes too weak to continue battling. She lands near the egg, where she dies. The egg starts to hatch. Godzilla, forgetting about the egg, swims to a nearby island, attacking the village there. The egg hatches to reveal two giant mothra worms. They swim to the island Godzilla is terrorizing, and cocoon him in their silk spray. He falls into the ocean, not resurfacing.
My Thoughts:
This is possibly one of the greatest films in Godzilla's history. The SFX rival those of the original. Godzilla's suit is really nice, though the eye's look a bit sunk in. But the rest of the suit is nice. Mothra looked like she should, the suit looked old and tattered, which was basically the way Mothra was feeling at the time. The story was very well thought out. The music was superb, and it worked great with the film. I'd have to say this one has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard for Godzilla.
I give it Bitmap Image out of .
