The King Of the Monsters: Godzilla
Godzilla vs The Smog Monster

A strange monster is seen destroying two ships in the sea. It is revealed that the monster is made completly of toxic waste and vile sludge, and that every particle of the monster, called Hedorah, is a tiny tadpole of sludge. When two combine, they form a bigger tadpole. Hedorah becomes very large and comes ashore feeding off smoke stacks and things of that sort. Godzilla appears and fights him. Hedorah retreats. He comes ashore again as a flying sulferic acid spraying creature. Godzilla shows up again, but is takin out by the sulfuric acid mist. It is discovered that Hedorah can only be stopped by being dried up. Giant electrodes are constructed and Hedorah is lured to them. Godzilla appears and attacks Hedorah, knocking both down a giant hill, knocking over the power lines feeding electricity to the electrodes. Hedorah throws Godzilla into a sludge pit, but Godzilla regains his strength and pushes Hedorah towards the electrodes... which he jump starts using his atomic fire. Parts of Hedorah dry up, the remaining sludge parts of him get away. Godzill goes after him by using atomic breath as a propellent...(amazing huh?). He get's Hedorah back to the electrodes and dries the rest of Hedorah up. He reaches into the pile of dried toxic waste and pulls out two objects which appeared to be eggs. He walks back into the ocean to rest up.

My Thoughts:

When I first saw this movie... I truly didnt like it. I thought it was crap. It was too seventies for me I guess. But when I reviewed it on Sci- Fi a few years ago during Halloween, I truly enjoyed it. I realized the messages behind it. So I'd say my view really changed... plus Godzilla's flying scene... HILARIOUS!

My Rating:
I give it out of
